FACILITIES

Wychbury is a family run business supported by staff  on duty 24 hours a day providing care and attention at all times. The majority of staff are trained or are being trained towards N.V.Q LEVEL 2 standard.
All laundry is done in house  free of charge provided that clothes are machine washable.

GENERAL PRACTITIONERS

Residents may keep their existing GP's provided that the GP is willing. Three local practices are willing to accept new patients and give excellent service.

CHIROPODY

A private chiropodist attends on a monthly basis. NHS appointments are possible but the local service is limited. The chiropodist charge is very competitive.

DENTIST

A local dentist attends when required and provides NHS services.

OPTICIANS

A local company attends when necessary.

TELEPHONE

A public telephone is provided for both incoming and outgoing calls.
Residents may install their own telephone within their room if required.

RELIGIOUS SERVICE

These are provided on a monthly basis with interdenominational services.

HAIR DRESSER

A local hairdresser attends twice per week and is very popular with residents.

TELEVISION

TV's are available in each lounge. Residents who wish may bring their own sets for use in their rooms, most rooms are equipped with aerials. Residents are responsible for their own license fee. Currently  5 pound per year.

ACTIVITIES

Residents are encouraged to take part in activities which take place most afternoons e.g. bingo, reminiscing, armchair exercises, snooker, indoor bowls, lawn croquet etc. Outings to local theatres are a popular activity. Wychbury has 2 minibuses both of which are equipped for wheelchair access. Weekly trips are arranged weather permitting.

VISITING
Visitors are encouraged at all times but are asked to avoid meal times.

MEALS

Breakfast	8:00 a.m.
Lunch	12:45 p.m.
Tea	5:00 p.m.

Hot drinks are also served during the day.
